Using the RF08AS Feeder Finger requires a firmware upgrade from Juki Automation Systems, Inc.
ATS designed the RF08AS Feeder Finger in conjunction with Juki Automation Systems to work with the New RS1 pick and place machine. The Feeder Finger, coupled with the new RF08AS electronic feeder, adds critical features and benefits that improve machine utilization and throughput. An unskilled operator can load tape strips as short as 3” /76.2mm or a full reel without a cover tape leader or tape splicing. The cover tape collection process and cover tape feeder jams are eliminated. The operator merely pushes the component tape into the feeder and places it onto the pick and place or feeder cart improving production setup time by 80%.
